Zero Waste Hub - Silverstream
Earthlink is working in collaboration with Hutt City Council and Waste Management to provide an opportunity for you to recycle items at the Silverstream Landfill.
The Hutt City Council discount voucher scheme rewards residents with a discount of up to 50% off landfill fees at the Silverstream Landfill when they sort and separate recyclable or reusable items.
What You do to Earn a Voucher
Arrange your waste for easy removal before arriving at the landfill to drop off qualifying items at the Earthlink Hub:

Household goods and e-waste (e.g., old TVs, Stereos, appliances, in fact almost any electronics)

Metals and whiteware (e.g., fridges, cabling)

Cardboard, glass bottles, and jars

Timber and tyres

CDs, DVDs, Records, Toys, Bric-a-Brac.

Scheme Details & Benefits

Discount Rates: Separating more than 20kg of recyclable material earns at least a 10% discount voucher. The higher the amount of recoverable waste, the larger the discount, capped at 50%.

Validity: Vouchers are issued by Earthlink staff on-site and are valid for 30 minutes during your specific landfill visit. Only one voucher can be used per visit.

Operating Hours: The Zero Waste Hub issues vouchers seven days a week between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM
Note: If your entire vehicle load consists solely of reusable or recyclable items, you can bypass the landfill completely and drop it off at our main site on Peterkin Street in Taitā.
