New signage for our recycling truck

5 July 2010

Be on the lookout for Earthlink's Recycling truck. Until now the truck has carried "Wastesmart" signage which said little about what Earthlink or our recycling facilities provide.

In consultation with Hutt City Council, Earthlink have been able to apply a partial vehicle wrap which transforms the truck into a mobile billboard and further promotes the recycling to retail concept.

Signage was created and applied by the team at Dzine Signs here in Upper Hutt.

Hutt Valley Curtain Bank officially opened at Earthlink

22 June 2010

Earthlink is proud to host the Hutt Valley Curtain Bank which was officially opened by Upper Hutt Mayor Wayne Guppy on Tuesday. The opening was also attended by Chris Hipkins MP and members of council and community groups.

Many homes in the Hutt Valley lack adequate curtaining, leading to loss of warmth and ultimately health concerns. This project aims to address these issues by providing free curtains to Community Service Card holders. They are also provided at a small fee to low income earners in order to make the venture sustainable.

Earthlink enters local Christmas parade

7 December 2009

float1thumb.jpgEarthlink entered a float in the Upper Hutt Santa Parade on December 5th. Although this was the first time we had entered a float, everything went without a hitch and the day was fun for all involved.

Our float consisted of a ute and trailer decorated entirely with recycled decorations, a refurbished sound system, microphones and speakers and an interesting contraption created by joining three bicycles together with pipes.

The Sudanese Acholi Cultural Dance Group performed with singing and dancing for the duration of the parade, bringing an exciting and vibrant element to our float. The group represented the new migrants supported by our Worksmart division.
